Children's hospice charity Julia's House selected Fathom as creative partner to create the naming, branding and campaign collateral for The Great Tail Trail - a family friendly trail of more than 40 giant mermaid tail sculptures, displayed right across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

We're so delighted to be working with Fathom as our creative partner on The Great Tail Trail. Their passion and enthusiasm for the project was evident from our very first conversation at the earliest stages of our planning. The team have worked closely with us from the outset to deliver a bold originality to the trail branding, bringing to life everything that The Great Tail Tail represents - art, creativity, community, fun and the unique role that Julia's House has in supporting local children and families.

As well as devising the event name, we created a vibrant hand drawn logo which complimented the existing Julia's House style - building a sense of fun and excitement around this unique creative exhibition.

To bring this event to life, we created a bespoke hand-drawn illustration of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole - complete with mermaids and all manner of marine life!

It was also vital that this event could be enjoyed by the whole community. The Tiny Tail Trail allows schools and community groups to participate and contribute in their own way – harmonising with the main event thanks to this integrated sub-brand.

This vibrant, creative look was translated perfectly to every aspect of their branding. To ensure total consistency and what we like to call 'joined-up branding', we developed comprehensive guidelines to ensure flawless delivery across all channels.

As well as creating styles for presentations and sales materials, we devised designs for signage and trail wayfinding - complimenting the main Tail Trail branding.

Securing sponsorship was vital to maximise fundraising potential for this fantastic cause - we designed a range of sponsorship packs and supporting collateral to sell the event to businesses and partners.
